Yakima, Washington Hotels

Our investigative team has discovered that hotels in Yakima cater to the ever-growing regional eco-tours, like wine tasting in Yakima, as well as the convention center visitors and adventurists who come to try their hand at fly-fishing, river rafting and hiking.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites is located next door to the new Ledgestone Hotel and across from Target and Office Max. It’s close to the freeway and downtown, although you have to drive through a seedy area to get to anything. The Yakima Visitor’s Center is just up the street and the weather is sunny enough to walk during most of the year. Don’t keep any valuables in your car in this neighborhood.

The Oxford Inn and Oxford Suites are located across from Wal-Mart. Unlike the previous hotels, there’s no nasty neighborhood houses on the adjacent lots, with the exception of Wal-Mart. These hotels both back up to the Yakima River and give guests easy access to The Greenway, a paved path for jogging, bicycling, roller-balding or walking along the river’s edge.

Comfort Suites is located on Fruitvale way across town from the other two locations. The area is a lot nicer and the hotel is across from a skate park and playground. There’s also a McDonalds, a Taco Bell, a Pizza Hut, the Powerhouse Grill (a local favorite) and a shopping center nearby. According to all the evidence, this hotel is definitely the most kid friendly hotel in Yakima.
